WHAT HAPPENED?
Power to the College of Computing Building Datacenter (CCB247) was lost, causing the servers housed there to lose power and shutdown.
WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Servers were reported as offline starting at 8:36am. Power was restore at 10:12am and servers began powering up at this time.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
The Emergency Power Off (EPO) system was triggered accidentally as a result of power work being carried out in the datacenter. TSO and Facilities are currently investigating the core cause further to minimize such impact in the future.
