WHAT HAPPENED?
Email clients that use the IMAP protocol to access Office 365 are unable to automatically load data from Office 365.

Beginning at 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2016.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
Microsoft introduced a code issue with a recent build update to Office 365.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
Anyone attempting to access Office 365 via the IMAP protocol. Primarily, this will affect Thunderbird and Pine users. If configured according to the instructions at https://support.cc.gatech.edu/services/e-mail, this should not affect Android, iOS, Mac Mail, or Outlook clients.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Affected users should switch to OWA via https://mail.gatech.edu or a non-IMAP email client until the issue is resolved.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No. Microsoft engineers are currently implementing a fix in order to remediate end-user impact.

UPDATE:
Microsoft Engineers confirmed that deployment of the fix is complete and the issue resolved as of Sunday, January 24, 2016, at 6:00 PM.
