WHAT HAPPENED?

Some College of Computing sites are hosted on cc-benson.cc.gatech.edu were inaccessible.

mshci.gatech.edu
omscs.gatech.edu
 

WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?

Monitoring indicated that omscs.cc.gatech.edu was down beginning around 4:38pm, 3/31/23.  Services were restored at 10:30pm on 3/31/23.
 

WHY DID IT HAPPEN?

A high volume of traffic was hitting the server. TSO was able to determine that it was a denial-of-service (DDoS) attack.

WHO IS AFFECTED?

Users attempting to access any of the above websites.
 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

No user action is required.
