In cooperation with OIT and GTISC, TSO has procured a significant network upgrade for the CoC core network as well as CCB and TSRB data closets.  The upgrade of the network has gradually been occurring over the Summer.  Data closet upgrades in CCB and TSRB have been completed and are now providing Gigabit speeds to wall ports in all areas.   Keep an eye out for announcements of further scheduled maintenance.  The CoC core network upgrade will occur before Fall Semester and result in a 10 Gigabit per second backbone within CoC as well as a 10 Gigabit per second uplink to the main campus network, effectively a ten-fold increase in our current speeds.  

TSO would like to extend a sincere THANKS to GTISC for contributing to the core network upgrade and to OIT for providing all of the network switches for the TSRB data closets.  The resulting network will benefit all areas of the College, but especially our advanced research activity.
