WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Some CoC faculty and staff Windows users are receiving popups advising that their Malwarebytes Anti-Malware license is expiring.
 
 
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Currently ongoing.
 
 
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
OIT initially licensed Malwarebytes Premium for limited campus use.  They are now licensed under an Enterprise agreement, and the old Premium licenses are beginning to expire.
 
 
WHO IS AFFECTED?
TSO installed Malwarebytes on select high-profile and high-risk faculty and staff laptops and desktops to supplement their antivirus software.  Those who are receiving the expiration notifications will need to have the Enterprise version installed.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users receiving the notifications should send an email to helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu to ensure they get upgraded.  TSO is currently working with OIT to get updated installation files.  Once the updated files are received, the Help Desk will work with the affected users to get their computers upgraded.
