WHAT’S HAPPENING?
Schneider Electric (APC) will complete the replacement of the old UPS system located in the TSO data center located in KACB 2219.

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
Thursday, March 9th, 2023 from 6:45am to 10am.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
APC is completing the work that was begun February 25th, 2023 - KACB Datacenter UPS Replacement

WHO IS AFFECTED?
TSO will use building power to keep the servers in KACB 2219 up during the maintenance window. The affected servers listed below will be shutdown briefly at the beginning of the maintenance window as their single power supplies are moved from UPS to building power. To minimize impact, the servers will remain on building power until 5pm, March 9th, when they will be shut down briefly to be reconnected to repaired UPS.

Affected servers:
holder - home directory server for Faculty
lincoln - adminfs share server
transporter - DNS and YP server
esperanto - static web pages

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Faculty utilizing ccsamba and Staff utilizing adminfs should save work regularly during this window to minimize impact when holder and lincoln are taken offline. Please avoid updates to static web pages from 7:45 to 8am, and from 5 to 5:15pm. No other user action is required.
