WHAT’S HAPPENING?
TSO will be removing old DNS entries and firewall rules for endpoints no longer on the network.

Affected computers:
Servers not connected for > 6 months 
Other endpoints not connected for > 18 months

WHEN IS IT HAPPENING?
DNS cleanup will occur on June 4th, 2026.
Firewall rule cleanup will occur from 8am-12pm on June 5th, 2026.

WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
Performing this cleanup will free up unused IP addresses for the College and improve our overall security posture.

WHO IS AFFECTED?
Users with endpoints that have not connected to the network in the above timeframes. 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If you have an endpoint that has been offline for a prolonged period and needs to remain in DNS, please reach out to the HelpDesk.
