Staff can choose from the configurations listed below. These items were chosen with the following criteria -
- To be good stewards of Institute funds regarding purchasing the best equipment and warranty overall.
- To streamline support for products in the College.
- Ensure compatibility with campus and College resources.
- Ensure compatibility with USG minimum endpoint standard software.
- Allow for quick turn-around in the event of equipment failure, lost equipment, etc.

* In order to have dual external monitors with a Macbook Pro, an M3 Pro or M3 Max CPU is required.
Desktops
At this time we do not recommend purchasing desktops as primary computers. Instead, we suggest using a laptop, docking station, and external monitor(s). This provides the same functionality as a desktop system with the added benefit of portability.

* The brand and models for windows and laptops are recommendations based on historical data with the listed vendors. This list is not exhaustive. It is important to note that consumer grade lines for all companies should not by purchased.
** Desktops such as the Optiplex or Mac Mini will require an exterior monitor to be purchased separately.
*** Desktops that require external webcams will need to be purchased separately. Our recommendation at this time is a Logitech C920e webcam.
